Practise interviews until the answers come naturally.

Questions UK employers ask, chosen for the interview you are preparing for. The interviewer follows up like a real one, and every answer comes back with a score, the one thing to fix and a stronger answer to learn from.

01

Choose

Pick what you are practising for, a quick 3-question interview, a full 6 or your next practice round, and how you answer: typed, voice, or voice and camera.

02

Answer

The interviewer reads each question aloud. Take a moment to think, then speak or type. If your answer leaves a gap, expect a follow-up.

03

Improve

Each answer is scored, with the one thing to fix and a model answer. Try again with the fix and watch the score move.

04

Come back

Every interview is saved to My Progress with a level for each kind of question. Your weakest answer comes back next time, and your best answers become a one-page sheet for the morning of your interview.

See it

What a practice interview looks like

Live or one-way, typed or spoken, with your camera on or off. These are real screens from a practice interview.

Face to face or on a video call

A live interview

An interviewer reads each question aloud, listens, and comes back on what you said, the way a panel or a video call does.

  • Questions read aloud, with thinking time if you want it
  • Follow-up questions when an answer leaves something out
  • A supportive, standard or tough interviewer
  • Your camera on for eye contact and presence, and feedback after every answer

Recorded, with no one on the other side

A one-way video interview

The recorded format many employers use for first rounds. The question appears, a countdown runs, and recording starts whether you are ready or not.

  • Time to prepare, then recording starts by itself
  • An answer clock, and your answer is taken when time runs out
  • Exam conditions: 30 seconds to prepare, 2 minutes to answer, one take, results at the end
  • Or practise with a retake and feedback after every answer

After every answer

The one thing to fix, and a stronger answer

Feedback that quotes what you actually said, tells you how to say it better next time, and shows you a stronger version of your own answer.

  • The single change that would lift this answer most, and how to make it
  • Scores for content, clarity, relevance, structure and confidence
  • How you told it: the hedging, or the “we” where they wanted “I”
  • Your answer rewritten, with what the new version adds to yours

Before you start

Set it up like your real one

Choose the format, the interviewer and how long you get to think, so practice matches the interview you have coming up.

  • A coached interview, a one-way video interview, or a spoken conversation
  • Thinking time, follow-up questions, and a supportive, standard or tough interviewer
  • Questions for your level, naming your field and role

Before the day

Your best answers, on one page

Every interview is saved. Your strongest answer to each kind of question becomes a sheet to read the morning of your interview.

  • Your best answer to each kind of question, with one thing to remember
  • Practice rounds that skip what you already answer well
  • Your scores over time, by kind of question

What you get

Practice that feels like the real interview.

Questions for your interview

Over 300 questions, sorted by the interviews UK employers run: graduate schemes, apprenticeships, the Civil Service, the NHS, financial services, law, accountancy and consulting, technology and data, engineering, retail and strengths interviews. Every interview opens like a real one, and asks why you want your own field and role by name.

Follow-up questions

Like a real interviewer, it can ask one follow-up when your answer leaves a gap, such as what you did yourself, and scores your reply with your answer. You can switch follow-ups off.

Feedback you can act on

A score, what worked, the one thing to fix and a model answer. Then answer again with that fix in front of you and see your score change.

Watch your answer back

Listen to each spoken answer again, or watch it back with the camera on, next to its feedback. Recordings stay in your browser and are never uploaded.

How you told it

Spoken and typed answers show how often you said "we" when the interviewer wanted "I", and the hedging ("I think maybe") that undersells you.

Voice and camera

Answer out loud and get pace, filler words and energy scored. Turn the camera on for eye contact and expression too. Prefer to type? Typed answers are scored on content.

Three ways to be interviewed

A coaching interview with feedback after every answer, a recorded one-way video interview like the first rounds many employers use, or one continuous spoken conversation with a debrief at the end.

An interviewer to match

Choose a supportive, standard or tough interviewer. It changes how often you are probed and how directly the feedback is put, never how you are scored.

Practice that moves on

Come back and your next round skips what you have mastered, while still opening the way real interviews do. Or drill just your weak spots.

Frequently asked questions

What interviews can I practise for?+

Any job, graduate schemes, apprenticeships and school leaver roles, the Civil Service, the NHS and healthcare, financial services, law firms, accountancy and consulting firms, technology and data, engineering, retail and customer service, and strengths interviews. Each one has its own running order and questions, and the questions also follow your level, from school leaver to experienced.

Where do the questions come from?+

A curated bank of over 300 questions written to match the formats UK employers use. The motivation questions name the field and role you are aiming for, and one question is written from your CV or a job advert you paste. They are practice questions in the style of real interviews, not any particular employer's own questions.

What happens in an interview?+

A quick interview is 3 questions, about 10 minutes; a full one is 6 questions, about 25 minutes, and ends with "do you have any questions for us?". Each question is read aloud and you answer by speaking or typing. After each answer you get feedback, sometimes after one follow-up question, and a report closes the interview.

What are follow-up questions?+

When an answer leaves a gap, for example it says what the team did but not what you did, the interviewer asks one short follow-up, as real interviewers do. Your reply is scored together with your answer. You can skip any follow-up, or switch them off in Interview settings.

Does it score how I speak?+

Yes, when you answer out loud: pace, filler words such as um and like, and energy. With the camera on it also looks at eye contact and expression. Typed answers are scored on what you say.

Can I compare my answer to a model answer?+

Yes. Every answer comes with a model answer showing the structure, content and language that would score highly, and the one thing that would lift your own answer most.

Can I watch my answers back?+

Yes. Each spoken answer can be played back next to its feedback, and watched back when the camera is on, until you close the page. Recordings stay in your browser: nothing is uploaded, and you can download a copy.

Does it change as I improve?+

Yes. Once you score 7 or more on a kind of question in two interviews running, your practice rounds move on to what you have not mastered, and bring it back as a refresher later, sooner as your interview date gets close. Every round still opens with tell me about yourself, as real interviews do.

Stop hoping. Start preparing.
